USED 6L80 TRANSMISSION

The  6L80 transmission has six forward gears and one reverse gear with an overdrive gear that can be engaged as an option for improved fuel economy in certain conditions (mostly highway driving). The GM 6L80 transmission is the first-ever six-speed fully electronic automatic transmission for on-highway commercial trucks and buses. It offers a number of advantages over previous generation transmissions, including increased fuel efficiency and improved engine performance.

This is a six-speed automatic transmission with an overdrive and lock-up torque converter. It was first introduced in 1994 as the transmission for the Chevrolet Corvette and was also used in other GM vehicles. It was first introduced in the 2000 Chevrolet Impala, and it has since been used in many other General Motors vehicles.

The  6L80 transmission is a durable automatic transmission that was first introduced in the early 1990s. It is a six-speed, overdrive transmission with a torque converter lockup clutch. The main reason for its development was to replace the  4L80E transmission, which was not meeting customer expectations. This new transmission was designed to be more robust and powerful than the 4L80E and also have increased fuel economy.

The 6L80 has had an impressive service record in both pickup trucks and SUVs, with no reported failures in production models of these vehicles. The only reported problems were found in pre-production testing on test rigs, none of which are used in production vehicles.

The  6L80 transmission was originally designed in the 1980s by General Motors. The design was a result of a joint project with the Eaton Corporation. This transmission replaced the TH425 and THM400 transmissions in GM’s medium-duty truck line. It is still used today in light-duty trucks and SUVs.

The 6L80 was originally introduced in the 2005 Cadillac STS V8 and is now used in many other GM models, including the Chevrolet Camaro SS, Chevrolet Corvette C6, and Cadillac CTS-V. The 6L80 transmission was designed to be more durable than its predecessor, the 4T65E transmission. It has a higher torque capacity for both stall speed and overdrive ratio, along with a larger oil pump and cooler. The 6L80 has two shift solenoids that control the shift quality by changing valve body pressure.

The 6L80 transmission was first introduced in the 2005 Cadillac CTS.  6L80 transmission is a six-speed automatic transmission that was developed and manufactured by General Motors. It is an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, designed and manufactured by General Motors.

The 6L80 transmission is GM’s latest generation of the 4T65E, which was used in the Cadillac STS and related vehicles. The 6L80’s design incorporates a number of improvements, including a new computer control system and improved torque converter clutch. It replaced the 4L60E as the standard Corvette’s transmission and was also available on other General Motors vehicles.

In 2006, GM introduced a new version of the 6L80, which differed from the earlier version mainly in that it features an integrated clutch-by-wire system. The new system allows for more precise control of clutch engagement than the older cable-operated system.
